Nairobi Hospital Chief Radiologist: REF/CR/05/17 Jobs in Kenya
Reporting to the Medical Director, the successful candidates will be responsible for the following amongst others:
Provide leadership to the Radiology department.
Develop, maintain, review and implement radiology department policies and procedures that conform to current standards of radiology practice.
Prepare, plan and implement the radiology department’s budget.
Develop methods of coordination of radiology services with other patient services to ensure continuity of the patient care.
Staff management in the radiology department.
Participate in institutional multi-disciplinary continuous medical education activities and professional development programs.
Implement and monitor radiation safety measures to ensure safety of patients and staff and compliance with government regulatory requirements.
Establish, implement, and monitor the infection control program designed to provide a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment for patients in the radiology department.
Promote customer service and hospitality and adequately resolve complaints or concerns about radiology services.
Participate in developing and implementing the Hospital Emergency preparedness management plan.
Champion radiology research for clinical practice.
Create an enabling environment for high productivity and optimal efficiency.
Champion continual improvement and implementation of various quality systems programs.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Masters in Radiology.
Specialist recognition in Diagnostic Radiology
Must be registered and licensed with the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board
15 years working experience, 10 of which must be in a supervisory cadre in any function in the Hospital.
Demonstrable leadership skills.
Sound decision making and problem skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Business savvy.

Nairobi Hospital Engineer (Biomedical) : REF/HE/06/17 Jobs in Kenya
Reporting to the Head, Support Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following amongst others:
Jointly with users, review and develop suitable specifications for required bio-medical equipment.
Create, update and maintain a comprehensive database for all biomedical Hospital equipment.
Design schedules for preventive maintenance and calibration of medical equipment and ensure they are incorporated into the preventive maintenance plans.
Provide technical input to users and procurement to assist selection of suppliers as may be required from time to time.
Ensure partnerships and good working relationships with suppliers to deliver sustainable mutual gains for both the Hospital and the supplier organizations.
Participate in the acquisition, installation and maintenance of medical equipment.
Train user department in handling medical equipment.
Evaluate the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of medical equipment, report and implement recommendations.
Participate in annual budget preparation for biomedical section, make positive contribution to the budgeting process and control budgets.
Develop, lead, support, coach and supervise the team members to reach their targets and create potential for better output.
Promptly resolve internal Customer queries and issues to ensure excellent service delivery to final Customer.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Degree in Biomedical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Minimum of 7 year’s related work experience, in a leadership role in a
busy Hospital, biomedical / biotechnological research institution or related industry.
Proven track record in: People management, Energy management, Maintenance management, Operational costs control.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Good interpersonal and customer relations skills.
Computer literate.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and within deadlines
Business Acumen
Detail oriented
Good analytical skills

Nairobi Hospital Assistant Engineer (Planning): REF/AE/06/17 Jobs in Kenya
Reporting to the Head, Support Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following amongst others:
Ensure compliance with The Nairobi Hospital Engineering and Maintenance policies, procedures, processes and standards
Create and maintain a comprehensive database for all Hospital equipment and facilities
Ensure all newly purchased or placed equipment are included in the maintenance database
Jointly with the relevant functional engineer, review equipment manufacturer recommendation, equipment failure patterns and target performance, and set appropriate service intervals.
Monitor and follow up implementation of the planned preventive maintenance activities and issue daily / weekly and monthly performance updates.
Develop cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work.
Continually improving planning, scheduling, purchasing, storing, data management and job reporting systems to increase planning effectiveness and efficiency.
Collaborate with relevant functional engineers to schedule manpower and resources to deliver most optimal productivity and maintenance outcomes.
Liaise with procurement, stores, nursing and other users as well as other engineering colleagues on pertinent issues to optimize maintenance performance.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University
5 years’ experience in engineering and facility maintenance planning work
Excellent knowledge of preventive maintenance scheduling and implementation
Proven experience in planning, organizing and coordinating maintenance activities in a busy, fast changing environment.
Computer literate and maintenance planning programs
Experience with ERP application software
Highly skilled person with an eye for details and quality
Forward planning capability
