Job Requirements

  • Diploma in Tourism Management, Marketing, Museum studies, archeology or a related field from a recognized institution.

  • Membership of a recognized professional body will be added advantage.

  • Must have relevant knowledge and experience of not less than 3 years in a related area.

  • Demonstrate professional competency in work performance and result.

  • Must satisfy requirement of Chapter six of the constitution of Kenya 2010.

    Job Description

  • Participating in Tourism Marketing activities.

  • Devising tourism Development initiatives/campaign.

  • Assisting in Tourism Product development and diversification.

  • Communicating with stakeholders on tourism development in your area of jurisdiction.

  • Updating and improvement of the County Tourism Database.

  • Handling tourism stakeholder’s complaints/suggestion and providing feedback to stakeholders.

  • Assist in Tourism Research.

  • Handling Tourism stakeholder’s complaints and enquiry

  • Provide literature and information on local, interstate and international tours and places of interest.

  • Preparing period tourism reports with your supervisor.

  • Manning Tourism information Centre.

  • Arrange bookings and documentation for travel and accommodation, and collect payment of City Tours.

  • Assist travel agents and tour operators in preparing itineraries for tourists

  • Put together statistics concerning the number and nature of enquiries

  • Be responsible for overall presentation of the information centre.
