Job Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor of Law (LLB) Degree and qualified under Section 12 and 13 of the Advocates Act.

  • A Diploma in law or having registered for a Diploma with the Kenya School of Law will be an added advantage.

  • Possess leadership skill, ability to work under pressure, organization skills, problem solving.

  • Demonstrate professional competence in work performance and results

  • Must be below 30 years of age.

    Job Description

  • Reporting to the Director Legal

  • Representing the County in Court (Civil & Criminal cases)

  • Obtaining instructions and witnesses from relevant departments/Sectors

  • Preparation of Lease documents, Agreement for lease, Assignments and Contracts documents

  • Preparation of Consents to transfer and Consent to charge

  • Verification of supporting documents for preparation of transfers, leases, agreements for lease and assignments

  • Submission of Conveyancing documents to the Lands office for registration.

  • Preparation of performance bonds.

  • Drafting County Bills and policies

  • Carrying out research on policy formulation and Legislative drafting
