Job Purpose

To provide transport services to Management, Staff and other Stakeholders to facilitate smooth running of the Authority’s activities.

Key Responsibilities/ Duties / Tasks

Operational Responsibilities / Tasks

Driving the vehicle as authorized;

Carrying out minor mechanical adjustments;

Recognizing and reporting abnormal operation of the vehicle parts;

Ensuring security and safety of the vehicle on and off the road;

Ensuring safety of passengers and/or goods therein;

Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle; and

Maintaining work tickets for vehicles assigned to him/her

Recognizing and reporting abnormal operation of the vehicle parts;

Administering first aid whenever possible

Timely filling of hand over template to the administration officer

Job Dimensions:

Responsibility for Physical Assets

The office vehicles and equipment.

Job Competencies (Knowledge, Experience and Attributes / Skills).

Academic qualifications

At least a mean grade of C- in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education;

Other requirements

The Occupational Trade Test II Certificate;

A Certificate of Good Conduct (renewable after two (2) years);

A First Aid Certificate course lasting not less than one (1)

week from St. Johns Ambulance or
any other recognized institution;

Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies

A valid driving license free from any current endorsement(s) for class (es) of vehicle (s) an
officer is required to drive.

Previous relevant work experience required.

Served in the grade of Driver for at least three (3) years;

An accident free driving period of 3 years

Strong analytical skills

Good communication and reporting skills

Good Interpersonal and negotiation skills;
