Our client in the construction industry(located in Molo) is looking for suitable candidates to fill the position of Human Resource Manager.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy;

Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues, and deals with the Union as well as the Labor Office.

Manage the recruitment and selection process;

Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital;

Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization;

Nurture a positive working environment;

Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance;

Monitors payroll and maintain pay plan and benefits program;

Make sure that the government reports and payments are accurately done, and reported on time;

Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management;

Qualifications

Proven working experience as HR manager or other HR executive at a minimum of 10 years.

At least five(5) years working in a construction or mining industry.

People oriented and results driven.

Knowledge of HR systems, Information Technology and databases.

Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.

Have experience and exposure in a unionized construction environment.

Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.

In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.

Work experience with multi-national companies is highly preferred.

BS/MS degree in Human Resources or related field.

Our Client in the Retail Industry seeks to recruit a Tax Manager who will lead and oversee all of the Company tax affairs. The individual is responsible for managing tax reporting and compliance within the company, and ensuring that all required tax returns and filings are completed accurately and on time. The

Tax Manager also needs to ensure that the Company is fully compliant.

Responsibilities

Daily follow up over transaction processing from a tax perspective

Daily filling for VAT and withholding taxes on I Tax system.

Monthly review of PAYE and reconciling the same with the books.

Responsible for ensuring that all tax and other statutory payments are made to the authorities on time

Involvement the listing of products and suppliers to ensure correct tax rates are used

Monthly filing for tax returns (all types of taxes)

Performing year-end tax adjustments on the financial statements and computing corporate income tax

Computing monthly provisions for taxes
Follow up with external tax consultants and attending to regulatory bodies queries.

Qualifications

Relevant Finance / Accounting degree / CPA (K) / ACCA from a reputable institution

Excellent communication & presentation skills.

Highly motivated individual, creative, with proven ability to work under pressure.

Good Knowledge of general accounting principle and practices

Good knowledge of Tax accounting and tax laws in Kenya

Good Knowledge of filling tax returns and liaising with tax authorities

Ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner & to perform functions with accuracy.

Team player with good interpersonal and self-management and organization skills

Past experience in tax and audit firms

Minimum 5years’ experience in a similar role
