ResponsibilitiesProviding technical advice in area of specialization;
Advising on cooperative investments
Preparing reports for policy formulation
Enforcing compliance with cooperative legislation
Designing, coordinating and monitoring the implementation of cooperative activities, programs and policies
Carrying out market research and disseminating research findings
Promoting value addition and processing
Conducting cooperative banking inspection
Undertaking risk assessment
Developing new financial products and credit policies
Requirements
Served in the grade of assistant commissioner for cooperative development for a minimum period of three (3) years
Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Commerce, Business Administration, Agriculture, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Sociology, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Engineering, Co-operative Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Management and Organizational Development, Finance or Agribusiness from a university recognized in Kenya;
Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Commerce, Business Administration, Agriculture, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Sociology, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Engineering, Co-operative Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Management and Organizational Development, Finance or Agribusiness from a university recognized in Kenya;
Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution
Demonstrate administrative ability and a high degree of professional competence in planning, conducting and supervising cooperative work.

Applications can be hand delivered at the County Public Service Board Office located within the County Governor’s office, Murang’a on or before close of business on 6th September 2019.
