Multimedia University Technologist - Civil Engineering Jobs in Kenya

Technologist II (Civil Engineering), Grade MNT 8 (1Position) – Ref: MMU/EA/08/10/2019

(a) Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:-

(i) Planning, supervision, evaluation and coordination of laboratory work in the area
of specification,

(ii) Preparing the budget for laboratory equipment (consumables);

(iii) Ordering and maintaining records of supplies;

(iv) Ensuring laboratory equipment are secure and accessible;

(v) Overseeing provision of laboratory services as well as allocation of duties and
distribution of staff;

(vi) Ensuring training students attached to the Laboratory;

(vii) Supervising and training staff engaged in laboratory work; and

(viii) Perform any other duties as shall be assigned by the Head of Department from
time to time.

(b) Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this position an officer must have:-

(i) Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution;

(ii) Served in the grade of Technologist III, Grade MNT 7 for a minimum period of three
(3) years;

(iii) Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution;

(iv) Registration by relevant Professional Body will be an added advantage; and

(v) Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Terms and Conditions:

The above positions carry competitive remuneration packages which include among others, basic
salary, medical cover, house, transport and leave allowances.

The successful candidate for the position of Marketing Officer II/Sales Representative, Grade
MNT 8 and Cateress I (Executive Chef), Grade MNT 9 (1 Position) shall hold office on a contract
period of two (2) years.

They should also provide three (3) referees who are knowledgeable about their competence and
areas of specialization, one of who must be a recent/last employer.

their confidential reports in sealed envelopes clearly marked with the specific reference number,
to the address here below.
