Marketing Officer II, Grade MNT 8 (1 Position) – Ref: MMU/EA/11/10/2019(a) Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuties and responsibilities at this level will entail:-
(i) Maintaining good relations and soliciting daily room production of individuals, groups, and
conference business in order to meet sales targets;
(ii) Planning sales activities by identifying potential clients, organizing sales calls and events to
develop new business;
(iii) Negotiating new contracts and renewals in order to meet sales targets;
(iv) Coordinating with Front office, Banqueting and Food and Beverage section for all specific
guest requirements;
(v) Follow-up with clients before, during and after the function/event/stay to ensure repeat
business;
(vi) Attending various trade shows, functions as and when required;
(vii) Handling complaints and passing to the Hotel Manager;
(viii) Achieving monthly budget goals and new business targets;
(ix) Preparing monthly sales activity report;
(x) Contributing to overall market plan; and
(xi) Performing any other duties as shall be assigned by the Hotel Manager from time to time.
(b) Requirements for Appointment(i) Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines:- Marketing; Mass Communications;
Public Relations; Communication and Media or equivalent qualification from a
recognized institution;
(ii) Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution; and
(iii) Served in a similar position for a minimum of three (3) years in a Busy Hotel.
Terms and Conditions:
The above positions carry competitive remuneration packages which include among others, basic
salary, medical cover, house, transport and leave allowances.
The successful candidate for the position of Marketing Officer II/Sales Representative, Grade
MNT 8 and Cateress I (Executive Chef), Grade MNT 9 (1 Position) shall hold
office on a contract
period of two (2) years.

areas of specialization, one of who must be a recent/last employer.

their confidential reports in sealed envelopes clearly marked with the specific reference number,
