Qualification

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy

    Experience Details

  • Must have served for at least three (3) years as a Pharmacist.

    Key Competences required for the post

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, Good team building skills and Well-developed counseling skills.

    Key Duties of the Post/Key Results Areas

  • Managing and accounting for allocated resources

  • Compiles and submits periodic reports

  • Participate in planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation of Pharmacy Units and account for allocated resources.

  • Assist in ensuring availability of drugs, maintain stock levels and advise Clinicians and other health professionals on prescriptions.

  • Participate in preparation of medicines.

  • Liaise with the National Drug Authority in ensuring that all medicines conform to prescribed standards.

  • Liaise with relevant clinical units and wards to ensure that medicines are properly recorded and stored.

  • Advise patients and communities on the proper use and storage of drugs

  • Participate in drugs and clinically related research

  • Impart knowledge and skills to students and staff.

  • Promote observance of the professional Codes of Conduct and Ethics by staff.
