Mukwano Industries Production Officer Jobs in Uganda

Reporting to the business unit manager/manufacturing manager, the successful candidate will;

Allocate and monitor work assigned to subordinates

Provide technical guidance and support to subordinates in the plant.

Monitor inventory and prepare requisitions for raw materials and spare parts.

Prepare daily production reports

Daily oversee of preventive maintenance in the plant.

Monitor performance of workers during the production process.

Enter production data into the Enterprise Resource Application database or SAP.

To oversee housekeeping in the production area.

In consultation with the Manufacturing Manager, determine and implement efficient production methods.

Ensure that the products are produced on time and of good quality.

Monitor the production process and make sure that quality-control programs are implanted.

Is responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment and work with managers to ensure that
the company's policies and goals are accomplished on time.

Implement the health and safety guidelines in the plant.

Identifying training needs.

Any other duties assigned by the BUM/Manufacturing Manager

Education, Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Manufacturing / Industrial option), Chemistry, or Electrical or any other related discipline.

2 Years relevant experience in Detergents/Plastics Manufacturing set up.

Skills and Competences

Must have excellent communication and reading skills, an aptitude for math, physical strength and stamina, ability to work in high places, ability to relate well with co-workers, keeping up to date with changing, technology, strategic planning skills, team player, Decision & problem solving skills and good planning skills.
