General Manager – Mobile Financial Services

Mobile Financial Services (MFS)

Main purpose of the Job:

To develop and execute strategy, policies and procedures for the roll-out of Mobile Financial Services (M FS) initiatives and ensure sustainable market dominance as set out in MTN Uganda business plans. .

Prime Responsibilities of the Position:

Develop and implement the Mobile Financial Services (MFS) strategy for the Ugandan market.

Develop and implement effective route to market plans to ensure market dominance of MTN Uganda MFS services.

To achieve business plan results as per set targets and ensure market penetration and sales forecasts are met.

Implement channel innovation and ensure MTN Mobile Financial Services is sustainable, innovates and build on its product portfolio in the market.

Ensure conformance to regulatory obligations of MTNMFS products while maintaining a balanced relationship with key stakeholders.

To review procedures, policies, work flows and quality control programs within the Mobile Financial Services division.

Develop the innovative Mobile Financial Services product/services and ensure product penetration in the identified market segments.

Effective management of the sales forces to ensure maximum business impact in terms of new customer acquisition, and revenue growth.

Support initiatives aimed at the bottom of

the pyramid and initiatives around Mobile Financial Services access.

Prepare monthly and other periodic reports to the CEO on the performance of the Mobile Financial Services products/services.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business Administration, Commerce or equivalent.

Master's Degree will be an added advantage

Proficient with MS Office application especially Excel and Power Point.

Experience:

6-8 years ‘experience in a Financial Service Environment with significant experience in the Management of 3rd party distribution channels.

Prior Telecoms or Banking Industry experience is an added advantage.

Experience in people management is required.

Experience in Audit/ Compliance and Risk management is mandatory.
