Job Purpose

  • To inspect and support the enforcement of educational standards.

    Key Outputs

  • Periodic inspection of schools carried out;

  • Support supervision to teachers provided;

  • Teachers’ performance monitored;

  • Minimum Educational standards enforced;

  • Inspection reports prepared; and

  • Teachers guided and counseled.

    Key Functions

  • Carrying out periodic inspection of schools;

  • Providing support supervision to teachers;

  • Monitoring teachers’ performance;

  • Enforcing minimum educational standards;

  • Preparing inspection reports; and

  • Providing guidance and counseling to teachers.

    Person Specifications

    Qualifications

  • Should hold an Honors Bachelors Degree with Education from a recognized university or institution.

    Competences

  • Records and information management;

  • Planning, organ sing and coordinating.

  • Communication;

  • Networking;

  • Concern for quality and standards;

  • Assertiveness and self confidence; and

  • Teamwork.
