Job Description

Mothers and Children Multisectoral Development Organization (MCMDO) is an Ethiopian resident charity organization registered in accordance with the Agency For Civil Society proclamation No 1113/2019 Organization with registry No 0022.

MCMDO currently is being implementing more than 24 projects and development activities in Oromiya, SNNPR, Somali, Gambella, Benishangul Gumuz , Tigray, Amhara, Harari, Dire Dawa and City Administration of Addis Ababa.


To meet its objectives MCMDO calls for competent professionals to apply for the following vacant position.

Job Requirements

Qualification

BA or MA in social work or sociology 5 or 3 years of work experience respectively

Experience

Minimum three years of previous demonstrable work experiences as Social Worker in childcare center, rehabilitation center or other similar establishment is more preferable.

Child protection & program management skill
Management, project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writing.

Good understanding of child protection policy;

Good knowledge of local context.

NGO experience is a requirement

Ability to work under pressure

Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment.

Ability to develop life skill manual to teen agers and street children.

Ability on one to one and group counseling.

A good level of computer literacy (word, excel, ppt etc)

A commitment to children’s rights and principles of equal opportunity.
