Job DescriptionMothers and Children Multisectoral Development Organization (MCMDO) is an Ethiopian resident charity organization registered in accordance with the charities and societies proclamation No 621/2009 with a certificate No 0022.
MCMDO currently is being implementing more than 32 projects and development activities in Oromiya , SNNPR, Somali, Gambella , Benishangul Gumuz , Afar, Tigray, Amhara, Harari, Dire Dawa and City Administration of Addis Ababa.
Main Purpose
The PC is responsible to manage the grass root implementation of the project and lead the project staffs and closely work with the woreda, zonal and regional stakeholders to achieve the planned objectives.
The PC will participate in sub national cluster meeting, ensure smooth communication with donors representatives at regional level, participate in the GO-NGO forums and facilitate and ensure enabling environment for the project staffs.
Duties and Responsibilities
The PC is responsible for planning, implementation and monitoring of the project. The PC reports to the Education Program Coordinator.
She/he is also responsible for ensuring adherence to the implementation of program activities according to nationally
accepted standards guidelines.
The following are the key roles and responsibilities;
Plan the project activities
Organize monitoring sessions with the key stakeholders, donors and the MERL department of MCMDO
Provide technical support and leadership to project officers and field staffs
Participate in Cluster coordination meetings at sub national level
Provide technical support project staffs and local education offices
Develop reports based on the requirements
Develop success stories
Job Requirements
Qualification
BA/MA degree in Education Development planning and Management, and related fields with five years for BA and three years for MA working
Previous management experience on education programmes in NGO context is desirable
Essential computer literacy (word, excel)
Strong work ethic and commitment to humanitarian objectives
Highly motivated, flexibility, quick learning and team working;
Fluent in spoken and written English, local language is an asset
