Main PurposeThe EPC is responsible to lead the education in emergency (EiE) projects.
He/she will base at head office and coordinates the field office projects.
EPC will participate in cluster meeting at national level, ensure smooth communication with donors and compile reports and mobilize resources.
The incumbent will work to strengthen the Education programmes of the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
The EPC is responsible for planning, implementation and monitoring of the MCMDO education programmes.
The EPC reports to the Program Director. She/he is also responsible for ensuring adherence to the implementation of program activities according to nationally accepted standards guidelines.
The following are the key roles and responsibilities;
Organize monitoring sessions with the key stakeholders, donors and the MERL department of MCMDO
Provide technical support and leadership to project coordinators and field staffs
Participate in Cluster coordination meetings
Provide trainings for project staffs
Develop or strengthen Education SOPs and guidelines of different services
Develop success stories to be shared for donors and PR of the organization
Conduct different assessments and produce reports
Conduct regular follow up and support to targeted schools
Job Requirements
Qualification
BA/MA degree in Education Development planning and Management, and related fields with seven years for BA and four years for MA working
5 years minimum experience
Previous management experience on education programmes in NGO context is desirable
Essential computer literacy (word, excel)
Strong work ethic and commitment to humanitarian objectives
Highly motivated, flexibility, quick learning and team working;
Fluent in spoken and written English, local language is an asset
