Mombasa Sport Club General Manager - Jobs in Kenya

Mombasa Sports Club is seeking to recruit a qualified, experienced, dynamic, and strong person with managerial skills to fill the position of General Manager.

Reporting to the Management Committee, the key candidate will be expected to:

Serve as chief operating officer and will be responsible for running day -to-day management and affairs of the Club including its activities and the relationships between the club and its Management Committee, members, guests, employees, community. government and industry.

Prepare a five (5) year strategic plan to be approved by the Management Committee.

The plan shall set key performance indicators (KPIs) based on which the Management Committee shall evaluate the GMs performance annually.

Coordinate the workings of the Board Committees and facilitate strategic planning and risk assessment.

Coordinate and administer the club's policies as defined by Management Committee.

Develop operating policies and procedures and direct the work of all department managers.

Implement and monitor the budget, monitor the quality of the club's products and services, and ensure maximum member and guest satisfaction.

Secure and protect the club's assets, including facilities and equipment.

Required Education & Experience

University Degree in Business Administration, Finance. Commerce or any o t her related field from a recognized institution.

Minimum of 10 years experience in Management across multiple disciplines with increasing responsibility and outstanding logic and analytical skills as

well as demonstrable capability to solve complex commercial problems.

Highly organized, able to prioritize deliverable and manage expect ions.

Be a self-starter, able to spot open needs and proactively take initiative to address them.

Discreet and able to maintain confidentiality.

Able to work under pressure for long hours and must be computer literate.

At least a score of C' (Mean Grade) in KCSE.
