Duties and Responsibilities

  • Patient outcomes;

  • Providing appropriate healthcare services including Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI), immunization, PMTCT, ante-natal care and delivery,

  • Providing health education and counseling to patients/clients and community on identified health needs;

  • Providing critical care Nursing and patient support,

  • Providing Perioperative Nursing care and Support

  • Handling and providing nursing care to mental health patients

  • Facilitating patients' admission and initiating discharge plans;

  • Maintaining records on patients/clients’ health condition and care; ensuring a tidy and safe clinical environment; and

  • Collecting and compiling data.

  • Performing any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor

    Requirements for appointment

  • KCSE Certificate

  • Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing, or Kenya Registered Nursing in Mental Health and Psychiatry from a recognized institution;

  • Higher Diploma in critical care or It’s equivalent from a recognized institution;

  • Nursing Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya;

  • Valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya;

  • Two (2) years’ work experience in Peri- Operative/Theatre Nursing and care.
