Moi University in partnership with JP-IK of Portugal are seeking to recruit high calibre, result oriented and experienced professionals for the following positions;

Job Requirements and Responsibilities

1. Quality and Testing Engineer

The Quality and Testing Engineer shall responsible to Factory Manager for the overall management of the Quality Assurance and Quality Testing Department.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate shall be responsible for;

Review engineering deliverables identify risks and initiate appropriate corrective
and preventive actions both from internal and external requests.

Perform overall quality control of the factory and report regularly on quality
matters.

Operational management of the quality assurance team

Managing resources assigned to the quality and testing department.

Monitoring and Managing the Quality System

Monitoring of compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies.

Planning and organizing actions to ensure product quality is achieved and
maintained

Development and implementation of quality systems in the company

Setting policies, standards and procedures in the area of Quality

Cooperate and communicate effectively with other departments to ensure quality products are produced.

Assign responsibilities to the other members of the quality control department.

Requirements

Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics

Proven knowledge of quality procedures

Be a registered Engineer

Have at least two years relevant experience
 Practical knowledge of implementing quality management systems.

Knowledge of 6 Sigma and LEAN

A certificate in Quality Assurance shall be an added advantage

Ability to think logically and methodically

Good investigative and problem-solving skills with

Good interpersonal skills and organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Good supervisory and leadership skills combined with the ability to delegate.

Experience in Team Management

Good decision-making ability coupled with the ability to work independently and
proactively.

2. Process and Operations Engineer:

The Process and Operations Engineer shall be responsible to the Factory Manager for the operations and logistics of the Assembly Line including the repair center.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate shall be responsible for;

Managing production and logistics of the factory

Maintaining inventory levels and control flow of products in the factory

Ensuring optimum productivity through efficiency of processes;

Providing guidance in the implementation of the companies strategic plan in the
technical and production area;

Implementation of waste management and clean air policy.

Developing policies,

standards and procedures for the factory

Encourage commitment to the shared vision and values of the policy and
objectives of the company;

Requirements

Bachelors of Engineering in Industrial Engineering

At least 2 years experience in operations of a factory

Be a Registered Engineer

Knowledge of project management shall be an added advantage

Knowledge in electronics engineering will be an added advantage.

Experience in Team Management;

Have proven problem solving skills

Have proven management and supervisory skills

Good decision making ability, leadership skill and conflict management skills

Good communication and writing skills

3. Maintenance Engineer

The maintenance Engineer shall be responsible to the factory Manager for the overall maintenance of company facilities, machinery, equipment and software.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate shall be responsible for

Organize machinery and facility maintenance/servicing and repairs to maintain
the continuous operations of the factory including after service.

Overall responsibility for security and safety of records, data, factory personnel, equipment, machinery and telecommunication systems.

Responding to maintenance needs of the factory

Providing assistance to service and repair equipment in the factory.

Implement improvements in preventive maintenance systems;

Preparing and implementing a maintenance and security plan/schedule for machinery, equipment and facilities of the company

Requirements

Bachelors of Engineering/Technology in Mechatronic or computer Engineering

Have proven expertise in electronics and automation

Be Registered Engineer

At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position

Good knowledge of electronic tools and maintenance management applications.

Knowledge of telecommunication operations

Have proven team management and supervisory skills

Good decision making ability, leadership skill and conflict management skills

Good communication and writing skills
