Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit Officer to join our team. As a Credit Officer, your primary responsibility will be to analyze financial data, manage credit risk, contact individuals and businesses who have outstanding debts and work towards collecting payment.

You will manage a portfolio of accounts and employ various strategies to recover the owed funds. This role requires excellent communication skills, negotiation abilities, and the ability to analyze and grasp the terms, conditions, rights and obligations outlined in contractual documents.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and interpret financial data, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and credit reports.

• Ensure compliance with contractual agreements, regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices between the company and partners.

• Contact debtors via phone calls, letters, or emails to discuss outstanding debts and arrange payment plans.

• Provide accurate and up-to-date information to clients regarding their outstanding debts, including payment options.

• Document all communication and activities related to debt collection efforts in a systematic and organized manner.

• Initiate legal actions, such as filing lawsuits or preparing cases for small claims court, when necessary and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Collaborate with internal teams, such as legal and customer service, to resolve complex debt cases and provide support when needed.

• Maintain a professional and respectful approach when dealing with debtors, while also demonstrating persistence and assertiveness to ensure payments are made.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or High school diploma or equivalent in finance, accounting, or a related field.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial statements and credit reports.

• Proficiency in using financial analysis software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and senior management.

• Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to handle difficult or challenging situations professionally.

• Ability to work independently, handle multiple accounts, and efficiently manage multiple tasks and time to meet deadlines.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and documenting collection efforts.
