In pursuit of its mission to provide excellent University education, training and research
through integrating science, technology and innovation into quality programmes to suit the
needs of a dynamic world, Masinde Muliro University of Science & Technology invites
applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following vacant positions.

Job Title

Technologist I Scale IX - AD/02/01/19 – 1 Post

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and Diploma in the relevant area with three(3)
years working experience as Senior Technician grade VIII or Higher National Diploma in
relevant area with six( 6) years working experience, three(3) of which must be at the level of a technician scale VIII or

Diploma in relevant area with twelve( 12) years working experience
three( 3) of which must be at the level of Technician Scale VIII or its equivalent.

In addition,they must be a member of a recognized professional body with a current practicing license and ICT Competent.

Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be required to among other responsibilities assist and support teaching staff in supervising students during practical exercises and manning the
laboratories.

Terms of Service

Appointment to the positions will be on contract terms or permanent and pensionable terms
subject to successful completion of probation.

Benefits include

or payment of gratuity for those on contract terms

Paid leave among others.

However, Tutorial Fellows will be engaged on
contract terms as directed by CUE for a period of not more than two (2) years, renewable once.
