needs of a dynamic world, Masinde Muliro University of Science & Technology invites
applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following vacant positions.

Job Title

Senior Accountant - Planning and Budgeting -Scale XIII AD/15/01/19 – 1 Post

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a Masters Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce,
Business Management/Administration or its equivalent and CPA III with 9 years working
experience 3 of which as Accountant Scale 12 or its equivalent

Registered by a recognized professional body in addition to having competence in Accounting softwares.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Deputy Finance Officer successful applicants will among other duties be expected to execute all financial and operational
activities in the Planning and Budgeting Section in close consultation with Deputy Finance
Officer and the Finance Officer and will be generally responsible for;

Preparation of Budgets and ensuring best budgeting tools

Development of annual work plans and strategic plan reviews

Implementation of University Business Plan

General Management of accounting
information

Review of all investment decisions and offering advise on sustainability

Terms of Service

Appointment to the positions will be on contract terms or permanent and pensionable terms
subject to successful completion of probation.

However, Tutorial Fellows will be engaged on
contract terms as directed by CUE for a period of not more than two (2) years, renewable once.
