M-KOPA Solar Agile Program Manager Jobs in Kenya
ResponsibilitiesProject Planning and Management – Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects, manage budgets.
Team Management – Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members.
Product Owner Support – Support the Product Owner in managing customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and helping to implement an effective system of project governance.
Process Management and Improvement – Define and manage a well-defined project management process and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile Project Management.
Team Building – Promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace with high-level of quality for the team.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business Administration or equivalent
Project Management Certification preferred
Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles
5+ years of experience as a Project Manager managing large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams
Experience overseeing multi-function project teams with at least 10-15 team members including Developers,
Business Analysts and QA Personnel
Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly-credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues
Ability to assess new features with respect to program goals / objectives
Organizational and time management skills; ability to coordinate and perform multiple tasks / projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deliverables
Ability to reconcile key stakeholder interests, conflicting priorities, and business strategy
Competent interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to lead projects and getting buy in from others
Ability to evaluate programs, identify risks and work with team members to come up with mitigation plans
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

M-KOPA Software Project Officer Jobs in Kenya
Responsibilities
Serving as a Scrum Master in the Software Engineering team:
Facilitating daily standups
Helping the team keeping the status of their deliverables up to date during the sprint
Setting up retrospectives, sprint reviews and sprint planning sessions
Helping to resolve impediments to the team meeting its goal during the sprint
Work with the technical management team to improve efficiencies in software delivery
Act as a buffer between the team and process overhead, so that each team member can focus on shipping software on time
Work with product and software teams to enable deliverables are well documented and communicated to the business
Produce regular status reports to stakeholders
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in technology field is a plus but not required.
At least 3 years’ working experience in a similar role
PM Certification is a plus
Scrum Master certification is a plus
Technology related education or experience is required
Demonstrated history of successfully completing challenging projects
Strong organizing and planning skills with great attention to detail
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage your own time with changing priorities in an agile environment
Nothing short of excellent oral and written communication skills
