Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS) is a registered trust of the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) and Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK) with the mandate to provide reliable, quality and affordable essential drugs, medical supplies, training and other pharmaceutical services.
MEDS is seeking highly qualified candidates to fill the following positions:
1. MEDS Warehouse Operations Officers Jobs Vacancies in KenyaJob Purpose: Ensure effective and efficient processing of client orders
Job Reports To: Warehouse Manager
Key Responsibilities:Allocate orders for picking and packing in a timely and accurate manner.
Maintain records on clients order processing to facilitate decision making.
Prepare and maintain order status data for decision making.
Consolidate warehouse staff daily output and maintain data for preparation of monthly report
and graphic presentation on Key Performance Indicators for efficiency.
Ensure cleanliness and fumigation of warehouses to uphold good warehousing practices.
Issue and monitor usage of packaging material to minimize wastage
Ensure equipment and working tools are operational for efficiency.
Manage Staff Clinic for staff well being.
Ensure efficient performance management to achieve objective and targets.
Key requirements:
Level of Education: Business related Degree
Professional/Additional Qualifications: Diploma in Pharmacy
Experience: 3 years’ hands on experience in busy pharmaceutical or medical supply chain
Job skills/Behavioral Attributes: A team player with excellent organization and people
management and communication skills
2. MEDS PR & Communications Officers Jobs Vacancies in Kenya
Job Purpose: To facilitate information sharing, provide support to MEDS management
for positive corporate image and advocacy
Job Reports To: Head of Customer Services
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare all the organizational publications including brochures, calendars, newsletters,
handouts, annual reports and multimedia programs that serve to publicize the organization’s
activities.
Manage media relations; develop and implement organizational media coverage plan; write press releases, opinion articles, news stories; follow up on appearance on media outlets, media monitoring and documentation
To assist in organizing MEDS corporate events
Manage internal communication flow.
Maintain and update information/content on the organization’s Website and Social Media channels.
Manage the PR & Communications budget.
Key requirements:
Level of Education: Bachelor’s degree in communication
Professional/Additional Qualifications: Training in Public Relations or related field
Experience: 3 years’ experience in corporate communications and Public Relations, experience in the media industry will be an added advantage
Job skills/Behavioral Attributes: a person with a high level of integrity, excellent oral and
written communication skills, attention to details, good interpersonal relations with excellent report writing skills.
3. MEDS Dispatch Officers Jobs Vacancies in Kenya
Job Purpose: To co-ordinate dispatch of customer orders
Job Reports To: Customer Services Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Update dispatched orders in the Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) for
accountability
Resolve customer issues arising from dispatched orders for customer satisfaction
Verify transporters invoices for accuracy and forward for approval for payment.
Update transporters performance records for decision making.
Performance management to ensure achievement of operational objectives and targets.
Countercheck receipts against invoice value paid by customers to ensure that all orders are
paid for (for cash and collection orders only).
Key requirements:
Level of Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Related Field
Professional/Additional Qualifications: Diploma in Stores or Business Management
Experience: 3 years experience in warehousing and/or logistics
management
Job skills/Behavioral Attributes: High level of integrity, with excellent customer care and
interpersonal skills, good communication skills with problem solving and logistics management skills and supervisory skills to handle a team.
4. MEDS Field Officers Jobs Vacancies in Kenya
Job Purpose: Provide sales, marketing, client support services for business growth and
collect debts promptly
Job Reports To: Marketing & Business Development Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule field activities for efficient resource utilization so as to achieve set monthly and annual sales targets.
Analyze sales patterns and product utilization trends in order to identify pertinent issues and
organize marketing interventions to improve sales performance.
Visit customers to build relationships with a view to identifying their needs.
Conduct market intelligence for benchmarking and organization position.
Follow up customer concerns for customer satisfaction.
Collect debts promptly to improve liquidity.
Communicate all technical specifications to relevant committees/users.
Provide complete, accurate and timely management reports to ensure improved service
delivery and increased business growth.
Key requirements:
Level of Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Related Field
Professional/Additional Qualifications: Diploma in Pharmacy, Clinical Laboratory or
Nursing (KRCHN) or Clinical Medicine (CO) and registered with the respective professional
body
Experience: 3 years experience in a pharmaceutical supply chain, and two years marketing of pharmaceutical products or laboratory or surgical and medical supplies
Job skills/Behavioral Attributes: High level of integrity, excellent oral and written
communication skills, attention to details, good interpersonal relations with excellent report
writing skills.
5. MEDS Marketing Officers Jobs Vacancies in Kenya
Job Purpose: Preparation of proforma invoices/quotations and co-ordination of export
document processing
Job Reports To: Marketing & Business Development Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and send all quotations/proforma by deadline date for consideration.
Prepare a daily quotations report and monthly quotations summary for decision making.
Provide operational seamless linkages between the quotation desk, order processing, stock control, purchasing and credit control sections to ensure customer satisfaction.
Participate in converting the quotations into orders, for increased business growth.
Coordinate export document processing and verification of invoices for export documentation to facilitate timely processing of payment.
Key requirements:
Level of Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Related Field
Professional/Additional Qualifications: Diploma in Pharmacy
Experience: 3 years experience in business analysis. Knowledge in pharmaceutical supply
chain management
Job skills/Behavioral Attributes: High level of integrity, Team player, attention to details,
good organizational and communication skills.
