Mis Accountant Jobs in Kenya

Broadly, this role combines accounting, finance and management with the leading-edge techniques needed to drive successful businesses. Management accountants provide business data and analysis to managers within organisations to assist in business decision-making and control.

Responsibilities


  • Analysing information and using it to make business decisions
  • Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports accompanied with detailed analysis,
  • Preparation of quarterly budget reviews and forecasts,
  • In collaboration with MIS Manager and external auditors, ensure preparation of
  • Consolidated Audited Financial Statements.
  • Provide critical analysis on key variances with the budgets – sales mix, gross / net margin, net profit, inventory cover, ageing.
  • Formulating business strategy to create wealth and shareholder value
  • Determining what information is needed by management and explaining numbers to non-financial managers
  • Advising managers about the financial implications of projects
  • Explaining the financial consequences of business decisions applying accounting techniques to plan and budget
  • Monitoring spending and financial control
    Identifying and managing risk
  • Conducting internal business audits


    Qualifications


  • University degree in Accounting /Finance
    CPA (K)
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar position.
  • Sound analytical skills
  • Knowledge
    of accounting packages/systems.
  • Ability to plan own work effectively and meet deadlines. Contribute to the short term planning of department.
  • Principle source of operational advice to the team.
  • Show initiative in taking on greater responsibilities without being asked.
  • Demonstrate persistence in the face of resistance.
