Ministry of Health Principal Entomologist Jobs in Uganda



Qualifications:

  • Honors BSc Degree in Botany and Zoology or Zoology from a recognized University or Institution.

  • Postgraduate qualification in Entomology.

    Experience:

  • Should have experience of six (6) years, three (3) of which should be at the level of Senior Entomologist.

    Other Requirements:

  • Should have strong management, communication, and interpersonal skills, high integrity and a community service ethic.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to policy formulation related to vectors and vector borne diseases.

  • Participate in the development of programs for control of vectors and vectorborne diseases.

  • Design and carry out research in relevant fields.

  • Provide technical support to Districts and Referral Hospitals.

  • Monitoring the performance of the Unit and supervise and appraise staff.

  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
