Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development Senior Laboratory Technician Jobs in Uganda

Minimum Qualification

Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of a Higher Diploma in Laboratory Technology;

or Geological/Geochemical Sciences;

or any other related discipline from a recognized University / Institution.

Working Experience

Duties

The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal Laboratory Technician for performing the following duties:

Maintaining and servicing of laboratory equipment;

Training Laboratory Technicians in the Department;

Advising on the acquisition of new advanced technologies in the industry;

Preparing of geochemical samples for analysis;

Reviewing quality control and technical service mechanisms used by oil companies;

Analyzing geochemical and bio stratigraphic data;

Participating in field sampling/survey programs;

Managing and archiving of Geochemical data;

Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
