The Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF with support of the Global Environmental Facility_(GEF), the UNDP and FAO is implementing a project - "Fostering Sustainability and Resilience for Food Security in Karamoja sub-region"

The project is planned to contribute to enhancing long-term environmental sustainability and resilience of food production systems in the Karamoja Sub-Region.

The 5 year project is being implemented in five districts of Mo- roto, Kotido, Nakapiripirit, Kaabong, Karenga and Nabilatuk in the Karamoja sub-region, head office based in Moroto.
MAAIF wishes to recruit staff and specialists to support project implementation, Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to apply for the various position

To provide technical guidance for the mobilization, training and cross- learning activities in support of crop/livestock production, natural resource management and value chain integration activities and guide the inter-linkages between targeted landscapes and identifying and supporting the application of appropriate agriculture extension methodologies that are gender inclusive and taking into account the socioeconomic dynamics as well as document lessons learnt and best practices in the application of these methodologies.

Applicants should

fill Public Service Commission (PSC) Form 3 (2008) in triplicate and attach detailed curriculum vitae, certified copies of academic certificates and testimonials, appointment letters as evidence of working experience and at least three referees one whom must be a current or previous employers, and most recent passport photographs.
