Ministry of Agriculture - Animal & Fisheries Cartographer Jobs in Uganda

Minimum Qualification

Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of a Diploma in Cartography from a recognized University/ Institution.

Working Experience

Duties

The incumbent will be responsible to the Geo-Information Systems Officer for performing the following duties:

Preparing quality and standard entomological maps;

Supporting compilation and arrangement of field entomological data;

Providing technical support and guidance in production and interpretation of maps;

Providing technical backstopping to relevant stakeholders in areas of entomological spatial data collection;

Training and building capacity of field staff in the use of GIS and Remote Sensitizing applications in entomological activities;

Regularly maintaining equipment/supplies in the Geographical Information System (GIS) unit;

Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
