Job DescriptionThe Intern will undertake work in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for Millennium DPI Partners (MDPI) in support of the Feteh Activity pursuant to MDPI’s contract with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Under the supervision of the Chief of Party (COP) and Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP), and reporting directly to the Component Leader, the Intern shall assume the following specific responsibilities for the length of her/his internship with MDPI:
Work closely with colleagues in the Technical Component providing a variety of administrative support;
Schedule appointments and meetings for the Technical Component;
Maintain an organized system of tracking, monitoring, and filing documents and relevant program records;
Assist colleagues in scheduling and planning for events, conferences, and trainings, which may include handling logistics, and preparing and disseminating materials;
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements
Qualifications/Required Skills
Law degree.
Preferably, experience in legal practice, rule of law/justice development, and/or a related field.
Understanding of the socio-political context of Ethiopia.
High degree of organization, professionalism, integrity, trustworthiness and flexibility.
Fluent in Amharic and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Technology-literate – PC skills, MS Word, Excel, Internet.
