Job Summary:

The position holder will be responsible for planning, organizing and implementing appropriate instructional programs in a learning environment that guides and encourages students of the Medical Records and Health Informatics to fully develop skills and fulfil their academic potential.

The job holder will work as part of the team to ensure that the curriculum, as set by the Ministry of Education and Sports, is delivered at the set standards and that examination are conducted in line with the Uganda National Council for Higher Education or Allied Health Professionals Examinations body guidelines and procedures.

The expected result is well natured students that demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and academic excellence

Qualifications

Education and Aptitude:

A Bachelors Degree in Records and Archives.
Plus a post graduate diploma in Medical Education or Diploma in Education or Degree in Education.

Knowledge of the relevant Hospital or Public Health data systems and packages

A Master’s Degree in Records and Archives or Informational Technology or Statistics or Masters of Science in Information Science will be an added advantage

Required experience and knowledge:

Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Lecturer in Recognized Institution of Higher Learning or 3 years’ experience in a busy Hospital or Public Health setting.

Experience/knowledge relevant MOH/MOES guidelines and policies.

Ability to network and liaise with various partners
