Migori County Information Communication Technology Officer Jobs in Kenya

Migori County Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions as per the Constitution of Kenya 2010 under Article 176 and the County Government Act No. 17 of 2012 Section 59(1)(b).

For appointment to this grade a candidates must:

• Be a Kenyan Citizen

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade C plain with at least C- (Minus) in mathematics and English/Kiswahili or its approved equivalent

• Diploma in any of the following fields: Computer Science, Information Communication Technology, Maths and Computer or Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or its equivalent qualification from a recognize institution.

• Those who have worked as volunteers, casuals and or short term contract employees will have an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Reporting to Director ICT and E- Governance, the Officer will be responsible for:

• Writing and testing simple computer programs according to instructions and specifications;

• Assisting in the implementation of the computer systems;

• Providing user support and training of users;
repairs and maintenance of ICT equipment and associated peripherals;

• Mmonitoring the performance of ICT equipment;

• Carrying out repairs and maintenance of information communication technology equipment and associated Peripherals;

• Drawing up hardware specifications for information communication technology equipment;

• Reporting any faults for further action.

• Installation and maintenance of computer systems;

• Configuration of local area network and wide area network;
