Michuki Technical Training Institute Value Addition Technician Jobs in Kenya

Michuki Technical Training Institute is a government middle level learning institution. It is located at Kangema Sub – County in Muranga County in serene environment conducive for learning and research away from town life.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Opening and closing of the workshop at the given stipulated time.

• Maintain of workshop tools and equipment.

• Ensuring that the workshop is well arranged and clean at all times.

• Cleaning the workshop machines/equipment and ensuring they are in good working condition.

• Issue practical tools and equipment to trainers and trainees against signed requisition and ensure that they are returned after use.

• Assist the HOD to ensure that all materials acquired conform/ meet the required standards.

• Ensure safety and security of tools, equipment’s and machines.

• Ensure safety of students at the workshop and ensure safety rules are observed and followed at all times.

• Assist to ensure discipline is maintained by students during workshop sessions.

• Attend/Administer first aid to minor injuries that maybe occur.

• Record and report any broken/stolen/lost tool, equipment or machine to the HOD.

• Ensure implementation and adherence to MTTI Integrated Management System based on Quality Management System (ISO9001:2015) and Information Management System(ISO/IEC27001:2003)

• Carry out stock taking of all equipment and materials at the end of the term in liaison with the HOD.

• Carry out micro biological and chemical analysis.

• Preparing chemical reagents in the laboratory.

• Keeping up to date records of inventory.

• Perform any other lawful duty that maybe assigned to you by the management.

Requirements for Appointment

• A minimum Diploma in Food Science and Technology or Food Science Processing and Preservation from a recognized institution.

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade of C – (minus).

• Certificate in Computer Proficiency.

• Should be 26 years of age and above.

• Shown merit and ability in work performance and results.

• Certificate of Good Conduct.
