Michuki Technical Training Institute ICT Technician Jobs in Kenya

Michuki Technical Training Institute is a government middle level learning institution. It is located at Kangema Sub – County in Muranga County in serene environment conducive for learning and research away from town life.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Installation and upgrading of the institutes IT software.

• Maintenance of all computers.

• Troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing of all the institutes computers.

• Installation of antivirus and cleaning of viruses.

• Providing ICT support services to staff and trainees.

• Establishment and maintenance of Wi-Fi hotspots.

• Configuration of network printers.

• Network installation and management.

• Maintenance and repair of ICT equipment’s.

• Maintain and keeping up to date inventory records of all ICT equipment’s.

• Advising the management on matters to do with all ICT equipment’s.

• Carry out stock taking of all equipment and materials at the end of the term in liaison with the HOD.

• Repairing and replacing damaged computers and network components.

• Ensure implementation and adherence to MTTI Integrated Management System based on Quality Management System (ISO9001:2015) and Information Management System(ISO/IEC27001:2003).

• Perform any other lawful duty that may be assigned to you by the Management.

Requirements for Appointment

• A Diploma in any of the following fields: Computer Science; Information Communication

Technology, or any other equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade of C Plain or above.

• Demonstrated relevant experience as an ICT Technician.

• Certificate of Good Conduct.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skill.

• Proficient in database programming, web design and software installation.
