Mhasibu Sacco Society Limited is a dynamic, well established Savings and Credit Co-operative Society in the country with membership spread across the world.
The Sacco is seeking to recruit a suitable self-driven, result oriented and highly qualified individual for the position of Loans Recovery Officer.
Overall Purpose of the Job:
Responsible for managing nonperforming loans to preserve capital.
The officer should understand the borrower’s problems and identify and resolve problems with unpaid loans.
The role reports to the Loans Recovery Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
Recovery management and maintaining default rate at stipulated levels
Circulation of reminders to loan defaulters.
Listing of all defaulters
Debt collection to ensure members repay their loans
Managing all the securities registers.
Monitoring the status of available securities.
Discharging securities where respective members have cleared their loans as per laid down procedures.
Assigning members’ loan accounts in default to debt collectors.
Managing and following up with the Auctioneers and debt collectors.
Attending to members inquiries/concerns on matters relating to their accounts.
Ensure timely and accurate defaulters reporting
Verification of member information/documents and bank statements whilst assessing loans.
Marketing and selling of society products and services and
Any other lawful duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Academic and Professional Qualifications Requirements
At least a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting,
of business-related field
A professional accounting qualification CPA K
A member of a relevant professional body is an added advantage
Minimum 3 years relevant experience and in a in a similar position
Successful candidates will be required to meet the requirements of Chapter 6 of the constitution of Kenya by obtaining the necessary documentation.
