Meru County Government Director Gender and social development Jobs in Kenya
The County Government of Meru wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill vacancies in the following departments as per the constitution of Kenya 2010.
Department of Education Culture and Gender DevelopmntResponsibilitiesFormulating, implementing and monitoring
of gender and social development policies and
programmes;
Identifying and maximizing local, regional
and global opportunities for gender empowerment;
Liaising with stakeholders to mobilize
resources for gender and social programs/ projects;
Disseminating information on gender and social development issues;
Ensuring fair and equitable distribution of
training and development opportunities; and Ensuring compliance with principles and
values of good governance, human rights, transparency, accountability, ethics and integrity in the department.
Any other duties assigned by the Director
Qualifications
Must have KCSE C+ and above or its equivalent qualification.
Bachelor’s degree in Social Science or relevant field from a university recognized in
Kenya;
Must have a Masters’ degree in Social Science or relevant field from a university recognized.
Demonstrated managerial, administrative and professional competence on matters relating to
gender and social development.
Five year experience in Administration
Must have a Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not
less than six (6) weeks from a recognized
institution OR attended senior management
course from Kenya school of government
