Mercy Corps Uganda is implementing a five year USAID funded Activity named Apolou in the Eastern Districts of the Karamoja sub-region of Uganda.
The Activity is implemented in four Districts of Karamoja: Kotido, Kaabong, Moroto and Amudat. It covers programmatic areas including: crop production, agricultural input sales, livestock production, veterinary pharmaceuticals, construction of household latrines, construction of small market infrastructure, WASH infrastructure repair, storing of commodities among other
The Activity has 7 subawardee partnerships including local CSOs and INGOs.
The Activity has four strategic objectives:
Apolou is committed to building the talent and capacity of our energetic and entrepreneurial team members.
The Activity plans to roll out a Leadership Initiative which will build the hard and soft skills of rising leaders and staff members across our field offices.
The intern will work closely with Apolou management and the associated technical team members to roll out trainings, workshops, events and to develop materials in support of this initiative.
