DescriptionOur client, a leading Mental Healthcare Provider wishes to recruit motivated Nurses who will be responsible for providing quality nursing care and support to patients, and their families in a professional manner.

Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct accurate assessment of patients
Documentation and storage of client information and/or data
Counselling patients while providing them and their families with appropriate information.
Identify patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with the patients and other persons in a position to understand care requirements.
Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, and their families.
Entrench quality assurance in all the treatment and therapeutic procedures by adhering to laid down treatment guidelines and practices.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations;
Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
Document patient care programmes by charting in patient records.
Maintain continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and on-going needs.
Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions and calling for repairs.
Maintain nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
Maintain a cooperative relationship among the clinical team by communicating information, responding to requests, building
rapport and participating in team problem-solving methods.

Person Profile
Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications Required
Bachelor degree in Nursing or Diploma in; Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing/Mental Health and Psychiatry from a recognized Institution;
Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya;
Valid practicing license from Nursing Council of Kenya
Minimum of 3 years working experience in a busy environment
Microsoft office packages proficiency
Report writing skills
