IntroductionMengo Hospital is the oldest hospital in Uganda. It was established by Albert Ruskin Cook in 1897. At the beginning, the hospital belonged to the Church Missionary Society. In 1958, the hospital was handed over by the Church Missionary Society to an independent and autonomous Board of Governors and Registered Trustees. Today, the hospital is an urban community hospital with all the amenities of a modern hospital in sub-Saharan Africa
Responsibilities
Driving assigned passengers to required destinations and being on call at all times.
Delivering messages, documents, parcels and letters as required.
Noting vehicle mileage to track departure and return schedules.
Providing support to other hospital drivers on call.
Performing defensive driving techniques, passenger protection and customer care at all times.
Ensuring vehicle maintenance including:
Notifying management to renew vehicle licenses and insurance.
Ensuring vehicle service is on schedule.
Maintaining a functional log book as instructed.
Ensuring that the vehicle is clean
Ensuring that vehicle defects/mechanical breakdowns are reported timely
Checking the vehicle routinely and compiling service reports.
Qualifications
A minimum of O level certificate, mechanical engineering or basic mechanics qualification from a recognized institution
Possess a Valid driving permit
Possession of a defensive driving certificate is an added advantage
Possession of a mechanical engineering certificate is an added advantage
A minimum of three years’ driving experience preferably from a hospital setting.
Excellent organizational skills i.e. team work orientation, effective communication, customer service, personal integrity, confidentiality of medical information, ability to check minor vehicle defects

Mengo Hospital Data Entrants Jobs in Uganda
Responsibilities
Prepare source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; establishing entry priorities
Reconcile and clean files both in the manual registers and system
Analyze all data entered into the systems ie EPI INFO, Clinic master
Design data collection tools for the institution
Generate HMIS reports for Ministry of Health and PEPFAR
Generate and follow up all the appointment lists for clients
Design data bases for all the new and old interventions
Prepare timely aggregate reports for PEPFAR
Ensure that all systems run in a good stable condition.
Ensure that all computers run in good state and all rights are goods
Enter all the new patients into the system.
Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
Verifies entered data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data; combining data from both systems when information is incomplete; purging files to eliminate duplication of data.
Qualifications
A Diploma in Information Technology, Business Computing, Computer Science from a
recognized institution
A minimum of two years’ experience in data management/analysis preferably from a clinical research setting.
Experience in using databases such as SPSS, ACCESS, STATA, EPI INFO
Excellent organizational skills i.e. team management, customer service, attention to detail, proactive self-starter, critical thinker, confidentiality of medical records
Advanced MS-Office skills,

Mengo Hospital Data Manager Jobs in Uganda
Responsibilities
Spearhead the development of the data management, medical records and information policy of the hospital
Supervise and train staff /subordinates on how to collect data manage it and promote high quality service
Liaise with medical /nursing staff to conduct quality assessment of data on all wards
Carry out periodic auditing of the data and data systems
Produce complete, accurate, consistent data and reports as may be required
Streamline data collection and analysis procedures to ensure fast access to metrics
Participate in research/data review meetings where necessary
Compile the weekly, monthly and quarterly HMIS reports and ensure timely submission to the District Health Information Systems, MOH, CDC
Draw plans and budgets for maintenance and updates of the data information systems
Provide technical support on the utilization of the different databases namely OPEN MRS, EPI INFO
Manage the hospital medical records unit
Ensure availability of patient information only to authorized persons or clients as per the existing Hospital policy
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Business Statistics, Computer Science, or the equivalent from a recognized institution
A minimum of three years of experience in data management/analysis preferably in a clinical research setting.
Experience in using relational databases such as SPSS, ACCESS, STATA, EPI INFO, SQL databases, in database modeling
Excellent organizational skills i.e. team management, Customer Service, attention to detail, proactive self-starter, critical thinker, confidentiality of medical records
Ability to extrapolate conclusions from large data sets
Advanced MS-Excel Skills,
Ability to work in respect of internal guidelines, GCP, Standard Operating Procedures and study protocols strong interest in clinical research
