Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

To plan and coordinate the various phases of the fieldwork such as staff requirements, logistics, audit programs, and time budgets.

To schedule, delegate, and review the work of one or more staff members, support on-the-job training and evaluate their performance.

To guide the decision making process on all audit and procedural matters.

To ensure complete and timely engagement wrap-up include preparation and/or review of financial statements and tax returns, schedule principal reviews.

To train staff on foundation procedures, and risk assessment and internal control .

To evaluate the internal controls, prepare an audit program outlining the extent of sampling required schedule the internal audit engagement.

To review working papers for accuracy and completion, financial statements for suitability of presentation and adequacy of disclosure, tax returns, and documentation of discussion with clients.

To summarize internal audit engagement, plan for the next year, prepare management letters, draft reports, and prepare routine correspondence.

To follow the progress of the engagement, aid in clearing points, and resolve auditing and accounting issues.

To keep the Secretary General apprise of the progress of the engagement, consult with him/her on problem areas, review with them any significant audit findings.

To perform other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education:

BA or MA in Accounting and ACCA

Minimum Experience:

Eight years of Internal Audit experience

Other Skills:

Ability to use MS Office Software and Peachtree Accounting

Teamwork and communication skills
