Main Purpose of Job To plan and facilitate identified training and development interventions to ensure competency of all nursing staff.
Key Responsibility Areas
Develop the competence of all nursing staff.
Ensure the correct application of nursing procedures and policies.
Identify training needs to guide the development of appropriate clinical training interventions.
Promote a culture of continuous professional development.
Required Education
Essential Education: Degree/Diploma in General Nursing.
Desired Education: Nursing Education Diploma /Degree in Medical & Surgical Critical Care.
Required Experience
Essential Minimum Experience: 5 years’ Clinical experience as a professional nurse.
Desired Experience: 5 years’ experience as a peer mentor; 5 years’ experience as a Workplace assessor.
Required Job Skills and Knowledge
Facilitation skills.
Assessment skills.
Infection prevention and control (IPC) principles and protocols.
Clinical risk management.
Nursing processes and procedures.
Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
Continuous improvement and quality assurance methodologies.
Relevant nursing legislation.
