Ensure the proper functioning of the pediatric medical activities under his/her responsibility at the supported health facilities, defining and implementing MSF policies, protocols and procedures, and guaranteeing the quality of pediatric healthcare in order to improve health conditions of the target population and decrease U5 mortality rate

Being a paediatrician with MSF is a challenging and exciting role, and the needs are very diverse depending upon the project you work in.

Paediatricians are based in the project, and will often care for children affected by some or all of the following:

Malaria

Malnutrition

HIV/AIDs or TB

Injuries sustained in a conflict zone

Trauma

Tropical Diseases​

Minimum Requirements

Residency in pediatrics

Medical registration

Current or recent clinical experience

Ability to work with limited resources and in difficult conditions.

Good level of English and/or French. Priority will be given to candidates with knowledge of both languages.

Minimum availability of 12 months (divided in two missions of six months).

User-level IT skills

Training in tropical medicine and/or experience working with HIV, tuberculosis and other infectious diseases.
