Mbarara University of Science and Technology Senior Lecturer - Pathology Jobs in Uganda

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery

Master of Medicine in Pathology

PhD track or subspecialty fellowship is additional advantage

Should have a minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience at a recognized academic institution of higher learning, three (3) of which should have been at Lecturer level

At least 03 peer reviewed publications in the area of specialization, in which the applicant is first author or corresponding author in at least 50% of the publications.

Should have a good track record of service to the community (public)

Registration with Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners’ Council.

Valid Annual Practising License

Duties and Responsibilities:

Reports to the Head of Department, and carries out the following duties:

Teaching, examining, compiling and grading of examination results

Clinical instruction to students in practical, postmortem room & specialized laboratories

Contributes to the planning and evaluation of academic programs in the Department/Faculty

Research & Publication

Contributes to the University and wider society through community service

Mentoring junior faculty

Research supervision;

Internship supervision;

Student mentorship;

Any other duties assigned from time to time
