Job Purpose

To collect, process/assemble, manage, interpret and present data and information for social economic development planning in the City

Job Description and Duties

Planning, budgeting, and coordinating data collection and management;

Updating and maintaining the City Management Information System;

Collecting and analyzing data on the different sectors in the City;

Implementing measures for maintaining data security;

Providing technical support in conducting research activities and programs in the City;

Coaching and mentoring of staffs on information and data management;

Interpreting the data professionally and ensuring that the right decisions are made based on the results

Compiling and submitting reports on information Management; and

Managing and accounting for allocated resources.

Person Specifications:

Academic Qualifications

An honor’s Bachelor’s Degree in either Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or Population Studies from a recognized university.

Required Competencies

Technical

Research and Analytical skills.

Detail oriented.

Math/statistical modeling skills.

Report preparation and presentation.
