Job Purpose

To Develop and Promote sports and games in the city.

Job Description and Duties

Preparing work plans and budget for the sports programs in the City

Drawing up sports and games programmes/timetable

Supervising sports and games

Identifying and promoting sports talent

Organizing sports and games

Mobilizing and sensitizing the community on sports and games policies, Plans and programmes.

Providing Technical guidance in the sports equipment and tools

Purchasing of sports equipment.

Procurement of rehabilitation existing sports facilities in the city;

Supervising rehabilitation and maintenance of sports facilities and infrastructure in the city

Person Specifications:

Academic Qualifications

An Honor’s Bachelor Degree in either Sports Science or Education with bias in sports Science from a recognised University or Institution of higher learning.

Job Experience

Three (3) years’ experience at sports officer Level in Government or equivalent level in a reputable organization
