Job Purpose

To develop comprehensive and integrated City Plans and monitor and evaluate their implementation

Job Description and Duties

Formulating, developing and coordinating City development strategies, plans and budgets

Preparing and disseminating performance standards and indicators for the City notes;

Providing Technical support to Departments in preparation and production of City Development Plans;

Appraising and determining City investment priorities;

Coordinating, monitoring and evaluating performance of City Development Plans, programmes and projects;

Maintaining an up-to-date City Management Information System;

Developing and maintaining an up-to-dated bank;

Producing minutes of Technical Planning Committee of the City Council.

Person Specifications:

Academic Qualifications

An Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Statistics and Quantitative Economics from a recognized Institution A master’s degree in any of the above-mentioned fields from a recognized institution.

Job Experience

Nine (9) years of working experience three (3) of which should have been at a Principal Planner Level in Government or equivalent level from a reputable organization
