Job Purpose
To provide Electrical Engineering technical service guidance and support to the City Council

Job Description and Duties

Inspecting and testing earthing and insulation resistance in City and private buildings to ensure compliance with the Government installation Regulations and guidelines;

Conducting periodic tests and assessment of electrical installations in the City council building to avoid fire hazards;

Preparing electrical engineering cost estimates for renovation and repairs in Government institutions and public buildings in the City;

Preparing Electrical Engineering designs and drawings for minor works;

Supervising building construction and services installations activities and related contracts;

Taking and submitting minutes of construction site meetings to the City engineer; and

Preparing and submitting electrical projects progress reports to the City engineer

Person Specifications:

Academic Qualifications

An honor’s bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or any related field from a recognized Institution;
