Job DescriptionYou will be responsible for managing the KDs and ensuring last mile delivery, logistics and sales measures are put in place to guarantee Fulfillment processes, Collections, logistics and expansion in collaboration with various departments. It requires a skilled Commercial and people manager to drive retailer acquisition and retention strategy hand in hand with gross profit growth in assigned areas.
Role Responsibilities:Will be responsible for the Hub level P & L, by ensuring we maintain strong product mix in sales and being clinical on the Cost of Sales items which include MSA (Merchant Success Agent, i.e. sales agent) and Logistics costs; evaluating and or sourcing logistics suppliers and negotiating contracts for fairness in costs.
Overseeing and working closely with all hub and cross-functional teams who mainly include the 4PL stock controller, central Finance & Procurement team, and potentially nearby hub managers. The holder should drive timely execution of all strategy and plans to ensure efficiency is observed at all times.
Be on the forefront of championing all customer retention activity across key touchpoints; will include but not limited to the On ground MSAs, Merchant Engagement team and Merchants. The goal is to ensure Merchant Week on Week retention. Be responsible for recruiting, coaching, and directing the local MSA teams.
Drive all Hub Partnership discussions, primarily being the Key distributors (KD) by ensuring we negotiate for a strong catalog from them as well as maintaining good relationship and operations.Recommend suitable scalable partners in goods supply or logistics.
Champion and cascade our MarketForce RICH values by offering sound leadership advice across regional cross functional teams, inspiring the teams to achieve key functional milestones and enhancing a collaborative approach to business performance.
Building the capacity of the field logistics staff and/or contractors who will be responsible for all logistics activities in relation to the field offices.
Leadership and mentorship- Provide the right leadership framework to all regional
cross functional teams, in line with the Company Wide goals and objectives.
Continuing to improve logistics systems that are in place by amending and reviewing transportation rates to minimize costs where possible. Ensuring that all aspects of driver, vehicle and rider policy are implemented and adhered to.
Setup warehouse layout in collaboration with KD and ensure efficient space utilization and also implement all safety procedures and standards in all warehouse operations.
What we are looking for:
Preferred 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business/Sales Management.
Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced sales environment.
Strong selling, negotiating and consulting skills.
Strong oral, and written communication & presentation skills.
Willingness to travel for work within the country.
Must enjoy working with people and cross-cultural team.
