Marie Stopes International NGO Director Corporate Services Job Opportunities in Uganda
ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership, manage and direct the delivery of core business support functions
Develop and deliver strategy, procedures and systems that result in risk management, efficiencies and value for money in Corporate Services
Provide oversight and manage risks associated with Corporate Services, including management policies, contracts, procurement of goods and services, nnegotiation of contracts, ensuring terms and conditions mitigate risk and comply with stakeholder’s requirements
Have a full understanding of donor requirements and the organizational procurement manual and ensure the supply chain/procurement team follows such requirements at all times and receives appropriate training in relation thereto.
Ensure the procurement manual is kept under review and up-to-date, and complies with MS Global Standards and best practice.
Ensure the realization of efficiencies and value for money through monitoring operational systems and procedures, regulations, analysis of procurement, administration, asset management and ensuring compliance and efficiency of support services provision
Manage all disputes and legal matters relating to Supply Chain, liaising with external lawyers, to ensure all organisational priorities are adhered to.
Manage the development and maintenance of administrative systems, policies and procedures to support efficient travel arrangements, visa documentation, work permits and compliance with other government requirements.
Oversee the effective maintenance of all assets of Marie Stopes such as vehicles, inventory, offices and rented premises.
Qualifications
A minimum of five years’ experience, working at a senior level in a similar role in a reputable organisation or in supply chain
Experience and through knowledge of management gained from working with similar organizations
Proven leadership and management skills that motivate performing teams and encourage innovation and creativity
Ability to perform under pressure, handle heavy workloads and meeting stringent reporting deadlines
Excellent communication skills for negotiation and conflict resolution
Clear ability to identify and set performance deliverables
Strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills
Able to communicate effectively at all levels; Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills and excellent
leadership and management aptitude leading diverse teams at a distance
A Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Procurement related discipline from a recognised
university/institution
Registration with relevant professional body is an added advantage

Marie Stopes International NGO Director Technical Services Job Opportunities in Uganda
Responsibilities
Direct and manage the strategic development and sustainability of quality Family Planning and PAC programmes by ensuring compliance with the clinical and other applicable guidelines, standards and policies through monitoring, evaluation and assessment of service provision.
Develop and oversee the implementation of Quality Assurance Systems, policies procedures and activities across all channels and ensure that services are fully compliant with the Marie Stopes global standards and
guidelines as well as those of the Government of Uganda
Establish, roll out and regularly monitor the systems of internal clinical audit across all service delivery channels
with mechanisms to identify and remedy areas of concern and escalation as necessary.
Ensure high standards of quality in client service delivery, interaction with clients, infection prevention, counselling
and all client care.
Take appropriate action to successfully fill gaps in technical quality or performance and lead capacity building programmes for direct service delivery staff across all channels.
Investigate and report on all serious incidents and adverse events as per Marie Stopes’ policies, and initiate disciplinary action if needed to protect quality
Develop strategies for good client data management, ensuring systems and training are put in place to promote this, ensure compliance with Ugandan and Marie Stopes global data protection requirements.
Work with all other directors to, ensure that Marie Stopes service data validation standards are fully complied with
across all service delivery channels and adherence to them is monitored on at least a quarterly basis.
Conduct regular monitoring and internal systems audits across all service delivery channels to identify and remedy areas of concern, challenges and escalation to CD as necessaryProvide strategic leadership and
management oversight of youth and key population programming.
Qualifications
A minimum of five (5) years working experience in senior management, delivering FP/SRH programmes
Proven public health management, leadership and management skills that motivate high performing teams and encourage innovation and creativity
Senior level leadership with financial management and budget responsibility
Experience and knowledge of Ugandan health sector and community health service delivery (including mobile services)
Experience managing donor funded programs is highly desirable
Demonstrated ability in facilitating staff capacity development at all levels
Excellent communication and networking skills
Master’s in Public Health /Business Administration / policy development / communication. Being a medical doctor will be an advantage

Responsibilities
Maintain an up-to-date HR Policy and Procedures manual, which is at all times accessible by staff, and ensure staff awareness and strict adherence
Providing coaching and mentoring to management and all staff regarding human resource policies and practices
Manage and direct compliance with HR administration activities including; recruitment, negotiating, processing,
reviewing and monitoring employment contracts, implementation of the performance management and review processes
Ensure that, within the parameters of national labour law and cultural practices, employment practices, compensation, benefits and the organisational human resources strategy complies with the HR policies
Conduct and participate in annual “like organisation” survey to ensure competitive compensation and benefits plan and periodically review and develop Human Resource Management “Best Practices”
Manage the implementation of learning and organizational development strategies, programs and activities.
Initiate innovations, improvements and changes in HR policies, procedures, and processes including work
methods, attitudes and other organizational performance enhancing programs
Ensure that strategies are put in place to ensure that recruitment practices are conducted in an organized and efficient manner and in line organizational priorities and needs.
Ensuring the appropriateness of disciplinary and grievance handling mechanisms and that prescribed procedures
for resolution of grievance and disciplinary issues are adhered to by management and staff
Manage individual or collective staff concerns such as remuneration, entitlements, welfare, complaints in a proactive and solution orientated manner.
Qualifications
An Honours Degree in Human Resource Management, Organisational Psychology or a related field.
Membership of a recognised HR professional body and/or a masters qualification will be an added advantage
A minimum of seven years working experience in human resource management at a senior level in a reputable organisation
Thorough understanding of organisational development principles and change management
Demonstrated ability to coach other and mentor staff, commitment to staff development and capacity building
Ability to maintain performance expectations in diverse cultural contexts
Strong organisational and management skills
Strong communication, problem solving, interpersonal and negotiation skills
