Job Description1. Job SummaryUnder direct supervision from the Deputy Country Director - Programmes, the SF channel lead will contribute to the organizational strategic planning, coordination, and implementation of the business plan related to social franchising.
S/he is responsible for the overall leadership, guidance, results, reporting and management of the social franchise channel, voucher and waiver programmes.
The incumbent is also responsible for the achievement of all donors and internal targets from the SF. S/He will be the primary focal person for the SF channel in communications with the LSO based channel lead and responsible to make sure the full application of the SF Success Model (SuMo).
S/He will oversee different networks under SF channel including BlueStar network and other networks that may be created under SF including the establishment of commercial and/or Blue Star premium networks.
S/He will supervise the SF team at SO and will technically support/supervise SF officers at each program office. S/He will be responsible to make sure that channel integration is in place in coordination with other channel leads.
Support and lead the establishment of MS Ladies channel and act as channel lead directly supervising MS Ladies and serving as focal person in global channel lead communications.
2. Duties/tasksSF channel Leadership With support from Deputy Country Director, contribute to planning and leading a regular MSIE Strategic Review and Planning process of SF channel;
Contribute to the development of SF short- and long-range organisational objectives as well as assessing progress towards objectives and programmatic effectiveness;
Ensure that all policies, systems and standard operating procedures, donor compliances are followed in the SF channel during process of program planning, procurement and implementation;
Develop realistic SF channel plans with all departments to minimise risk and maximise effective response;
Proactively identify SF program implementation related risks, highlight these to her/his supervisor and put in place risk mitigation measures for smooth program implementation;
Coordinate with budget holders to ensure donor deliverables and requirements for SF related activities.
Whenever applicable, ensures close institutional relationship is maintained and strengthened with donor organization representatives and government agencies at all levels; and
Ensures the cross-channel collaboration is cherished whereby all services are delivered consistently.
Develop channel strategies to improve efficiency, equity and value-for-money in the SF channel
Establish effective collaboration with social franchising management teams for effective implementation of the programs;
Liaise with Global SF Channel Lead and other country programmes to implement and contribute to success models; and
Support the Sales Manager/Commercial Sales team in liaising with poential social franchise outlets and develop jointly value preposition around product or equipment supply
Identify and research potential markets to launch new franchisee and advise SMT of new opportunities
Ensure franchisor suggested systems/ processes are deployed & practiced in the franchisee
Ensure successful implementation of Social Franchise channel success model
Manages the Blue Star/White Star Network, including planning, coordinating communications, support visits, and monitoring and evaluation of activities.
Responsible for compliance with franchise goals and
project objectives;
Ensure the productivity and performance of the Blue Star/White Star Network and provides technical assistance to the field teams through organizing regular meetings to discuss problems encountered, capitalize best practices and share lessons learned during the field supervision;
Provide support and guidance to the Team working on the Blue Star/White Star Network in designing and implementing activities in their respective sites;
Ensures accurate and complete data is collected form the franchise network and apply this data for business interpretation and decision making;
Develops strong collaborative and fruitful working relationships with Blue Star/White Star Network Clinics;
Effectively work on MSIE brand positioning across all the franchise network and utilize efficient promotional methods and tools that result in productivity;
Prepare periodic reports on the progress of project implementation and document the lesson learned.
Work other similar activities as provided by the immediate supervisor;
Health Financing/voucher and waiver
Monitor and adjust voucher and waiver schemes as necessary to ensure targeted subsidies of core services.
Ensure effective implementation of demand side financing
Work with SMT and other stakeholders to influence government for financing SRH access through private clinics
Promoting equity through demand-side financing
Ensure Value for Money while implementing voucher and waiver at scale
Support social franchise clinics accreditation process and explore ways to link franchisee to health financing scheme (National Health Insurance or community-based insurance)
Building franchisee capacity to manage their own demand creation and marketing efforts
Support the MIS team to ensure data validity and risk mitigations in fraud (through EHR, vouchers, waivers and other business solutions) are in place
Team Management and Development
Coach and mentor team who reports to this position;
Ensure team working and knowledge sharing are facilitated;
Ensures all team members in the department are developed, motivated and engaged so as to continuously improve work performances; and
Ensure proper KPIs are developed commensurate with the department’s annual objectives and timely performance appraisals are conducted for the team members working in the department.

BSc/MSc/MPH in Public Health, Management, Economics, Finance, or related field.
b. Experience
Above Six year’s directly relevant experience,

Good skill in written and spoken English are essential
Understanding of basic financial management, and an ability to work with numbers, are an advantage
Good computer skills,
High level of interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
