Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry seeks to recruit Business Development Manager.

    Overall Purpose of the role is to: Build the organizations market position by locating, developing, negotiating and closing business and client relationships.

    Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration;
  • Must have 4 – 7 years’ experience in a similar position;
  • A proven track record of driving sales and winning business;
  • Understanding of retail and distribution;
  • Exposure to a production and manufacturing environment is an added advantage;

    Job Specification

  • Driving sales – prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business deals;
  • Developing route to market and commercial sales strategies and spearhead implementation of these strategies;
  • Spearheading channel management and implementation of retail programs;
  • Preparing weekly, monthly and annual demands forecasts & sales plans as well as projecting expected sales volumes and profits for new and existing products;
  • Undertaking regular market intelligence
    on sales volume, market share and competitors;
  • Undertaking analysis of sales trends and advice management on strategies and approach to enable attainment of set objectives and development of unique selling propositions;
  • Establishing and maintain effective relationships with new and existing customers;
